In this live online event, we shared the findings from three innovative trials, discussed and debated their implications and took stock of where we are with understanding how best to support self-employed people to save for retirement.
At this launch event for our programme summary report, we shared findings from our ground-breaking savings pilots which formed the most recent stage of our research. Collaborating on two trials: one with Penfold, a fintech pension provider; and one with Moneyhub, an open data and payments platform, we developed and tested nudges and tools designed to support self-employed people to save more for retirement. We also worked with the Nest pension scheme to test the effectiveness of timing messages to different moments in the tax year.

- Anna Mowbray, Research and Policy Officer at Community Trade Union
- Jo Phillips, Director of Research and Innovation at Nest Insight
- Josh Queen, Lead Product Manager at Penfold
